Furthering education about agriculture and the countryside

The North Somerset Agricultural Society was formed out of the North Somerset Ploughing Society in 1840 by a small group of farmers. 

Its sole purpose was to further agricultural development by communicating agricultural issues and providing a showpiece to the local, general public.  To this day these aims still ring true.

Many thanks to all the people who gave their time to help make this year’s Show such a success, special mention goes to all the volunteers who helped set up the Showground, those who helped during the day and those who are helping to return the ground to a field again.
