ShowgroundThe Showground - Bathing Pond Fields So how did it get its name? Bathing Pond Fields is so called because it has a Grade II listed Victorian Bathing Pond at its centre. Little is known about this rare feature but it is believed that the Gibbs family, who built Tyntesfield House, also built the Bathing Pond. As well as holding its traditional agricultural Show on the first Bank Holiday Monday in May, the Society is planning to establish an education resource on its site to cater for elements within the national curriculum such as conservation, land use, food production, health and environmental matters. It is also hoped that the local communities will make full use of the site. Download a printable map and directions to Bathing Pond Fields, Wraxall, BS48 1NE |
